trivum M2 – high-power multiroom for two zones
- 4x 125 watts output
- AirPlay 2
- Spotify Connect
- Bluetooth
- Matrix support
- Two zones (expandable to up to 64)
Powerful Class D amplifiers.
Four amplifier channels delivering 125 watts each into 4 ohms provide rich, dynamic sound. Large rooms, demanding speakers, high volume levels: the M2 drives them all effortlessly and stays clear and controlled even at full volume.
Two zones. One device.
Living room and terrace, dining room and outdoor area: the M2 powers two independent zones, each with its own source and volume. Where you would otherwise need two amplifiers, a single compact device is enough. That saves space and keeps the installation clean and simple. And if a large room needs more sound, simply run all four speakers together in one zone.
The successor to the SC311m. More than four times as powerful.
The M2 replaces the SC311m and offers significantly more for the same price: 125 instead of 30 watts per channel, and two zones instead of one. As before, you connect external devices via an analogue/digital input and an analogue/digital output. We have dropped the FM/DAB+ tuner because it is hardly used anymore in the age of internet radio. You can still listen to thousands of stations via the built-in internet radio.
All the sources you need.
Both zones can play the same music or something different – it's entirely up to you. Choose from AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, Bluetooth, internet radio and streaming services for commercial use. New services are added automatically via software updates. Play music from your smartphone, tablet or Mac directly via AirPlay 2 or Bluetooth. The AUX input lets you connect external sources such as a modern turntable or your TV, either analogue or optical digital (TOSLINK).
trivum Matrix: share sources with zero delay.
With trivum Matrix, our own in-house development, you connect multiple devices directly with a USB-C cable. Their DSPs work together directly: each device accesses the sources of the others as if they were built in. All of this happens without going through the network, and therefore without the usual network latency. Each connection carries four stereo signals digitally and losslessly.
An example: an SC344m with its many built-in sources (4 × analogue, 4 × radio, streaming) can be linked to up to four further Matrix devices such as the M2. All zones in the setup share the same sources. Grouped zones stay in sync directly via the DSP instead of having to coordinate over the network.
Silent. Even in the living room.
The M2 runs without a fan, so it can be placed in plain sight in your living space. This is made possible by its high efficiency: the Class D amplifiers and the 500-watt power supply (600 watts peak) are extremely efficient and therefore generate very little waste heat. The remaining heat is dissipated by internal heat sinks. For this to work reliably, the M2 should be placed in the open and not installed in a closed cabinet.
Features
Automatic rest periods Normal timers switch music on or off at certain times of the day. trivum systems allow 2 such timers per zone. For outdoor areas and children's rooms in particular, however, it may also be necessary to switch off areas or limit the volume at certain times. This is made possible with advanced timers.
With AirPlay 2, every one of your rooms appears directly as a speaker on your iPhone, iPad or Mac. You can also easily group your rooms with other AirPlay 2 speakers and play music across all of them together.
Everything goes better with music Whether in doctors' surgeries, hotels or salesrooms: you often want to listen to the same music everywhere. Individual areas may want to be switched off or listen to different music, but it should always be easy to switch to general background music.
Easier than grouping There are often connected areas in the home, such as the living room and kitchen, which are not separated by walls. Each area has its own speakers that can be switched on or off separately, but ultimately you always hear the same music. We call this feature 'Connected Spaces'. It is a simplified, permanent connection of rooms as an alternative to grouping.

Deezer is a music streaming service from France with around 120 million tracks, strong in international charts but also in European music. All paid subscriptions stream lossless in CD quality. Deezer is best known for Flow: an endless, personal music mix that learns what you like.
hotelradio.fm is a music service from Switzerland, designed specifically for hotels, restaurants, bars and spas. Instead of putting together individual songs yourself, you choose ready-made music channels, ranging from lounge and jazz to fine dining or spa, curated by music professionals and perfectly suited for background listening.
Not all speakers are optimally installed, which is why they often do not sound as good as they could. Thanks to the DSPs (Digital Sound Processor) built into all trivum SoundSystems and thanks to t3OS, each speaker can be individually adjusted (equalized). So that music sounds the way it should.
Announcements and bells The option of interrupting ongoing music in rooms with announcements is mostly used in commercial environments, e.g. in doctors' surgeries or sales rooms. Announcements can be started with KNX telegrams, the planner or the trivum actions, and can therefore be used very flexibly.
Saving groupings Normally you create groups interactively in the trivum user interface by selecting the zones and grouping them manually. However, this can be tedious if certain zone combinations are used frequently. Instead, you can define a zone group that contains all the desired zones. This allows the grouping to be performed or canceled with just one touch.
Controlling lights and blinds with your cell phone trivum offers a user interface with music control, but lighting control via KNX is also possible. Control objects are defined in the trivum Home Control interface and are accessible on separate pages. It is easy to switch between music selection and control of KNX devices without having to use additional software.
Quick insight into the system trivum multiroom systems offer a wide range of customization options to meet the needs of users and can be seamlessly integrated into existing building technology or automation systems. In some cases, this requires a deeper insight into the system. With Inspect, integrators can access log files and system information and thus solve many problems independently without having to contact technical support immediately.
Music at the touch of a button So cool: A simple KNX switch is all it takes to turn on music in the bathroom in the morning. A motion detector that magically makes birdsong sound in the guest toilet. Or you leave the house and press the "All off" KNX button: not only the lights but also the music stops. This is how home automation works!
Take music with you from room to room Multiroom systems supply several rooms with music. If you are in the kitchen listening to an interesting podcast, but now go to the study and want to continue listening to it there, this should be easy to do: You want to 'take the music with you'. We call this feature "Listen and Transfer".
Automate something simple. Turn on the light in the living room when you get home. Then in the kitchen. Then start the chill-out playlist at volume 20. If you do this every day, it would be nice to do it all at the touch of a button. And you can do this by setting up macros in trivum that perform several steps at once.
Speaking into a room In commercial environments, e.g. sales rooms, waiting rooms or a hotel lobby, it is often necessary to interrupt the music playback with announcements. The music should be quieter and the microphone level easily adjustable. The trivum Microphone Mixer makes this possible.
trivum connects to the IOT world Node-RED from IBM is a graphical development tool for IoT use cases. With the modular principle, function blocks can be easily connected with each other. trivum sound systems for developers If you use a touch panel for home automation, trivum can usually be integrated without any problems. If the trivum WebUI cannot be integrated directly, you can use the trivum API to control functions via HTTP, e.g. "Play favorite no. 1", zone on/off or volume control. However, the trivum API provides much more.
Keeping an eye on installations Active and experienced partners have the option of using a trivum Tunnel Server. This tool enables them to monitor and remotely support their installed trivum systems. Find out more about the "Remote Support" feature, which forms a unit together with the trivum Tunnel Server.
When grouping, you combine several rooms so they play the same music, perfectly in sync. One zone acts as the "master": it determines what's playing, and all other zones in the group join in.
