Tidal
TIDAL is a music streaming service focused on sound quality and a huge catalogue, ranging from pop and hip-hop to jazz and classical. Every subscription includes lossless quality up to Hi-Res at 24-bit, at no extra cost. On top of that, you get personal mixes, curated playlists and live sessions.

What problem does TIDAL solve? If you own a good sound system, you don't want to listen to compressed music, but you also don't want to miss out on current charts and new releases. TIDAL combines both: a broad, up-to-date catalogue and lossless quality, without needing your own music collection on a NAS.

How does trivum integrate TIDAL?TIDAL is fully integrated into trivum, so you don't need a phone or the TIDAL app. You enter your TIDAL login details once in the trivum setup, then browse artists, albums, playlists and your mixes directly in the trivum app or on the touchpad. Cover art and track info are displayed just like with any other trivum source.

Benefits of TIDAL
The music comes straight from the internet into your trivum system, in full quality and independent of your phone, its battery or Wi-Fi. Your TIDAL playlists and favourites are available instantly. You can also save TIDAL content as a trivum favourite and start it via touchpad, macro, alarm or KNX. |

What are the limitations of TIDAL support? You need a paid TIDAL subscription. One account only streams one track at a time. So for different music in multiple rooms, you'll need several accounts, for example via the Family plan. Dolby Atmos tracks are played back in stereo. And like all private streaming services, TIDAL is not licensed for commercial use.
