SoundMachine Streaming
SoundMachine is a music streaming service for businesses, from cafés and shops to hotels, gyms or offices. You get access to around 60 million songs and over 500 human-curated stations, along with tools to schedule music and manage it across multiple locations.

What problem does SoundMachine solve?

Spotify & Co. are intended for private use only, so you can't simply play them in a shop or restaurant. At the same time, you don't want to put together music yourself every day. SoundMachine delivers ad-free music designed for businesses, which you set up once and then just let run.

How does trivum integrate SoundMachine?

SoundMachine is integrated into trivum as a streaming source. You log in with your SoundMachine account and select stations, mixes or playlists from the menu, which then play in the desired zone. You see the title, artist and cover art as usual in the trivum app or on the touchpad.

Benefits of SoundMachine

No extra player, no tablet that has to run constantly: the music comes straight from the trivum system. You can import your favourite playlists from Spotify or other services and have all the business features you need, such as schedules and announcements. And with trivum, you control rooms, volume and scenes, via KNX if you like.

How can you customise SoundMachine in the setup?

In SoundMachine, you put together your own mixes, schedule what plays when, set up announcements between songs and assign rights to staff, for example only volume control or only access to approved playlists. In the trivum system, you decide which zones play which music, and can use the source as an action on the home screen, in macros or at system start-up.

What are the limitations of SoundMachine support?

SoundMachine is a paid subscription, with prices in US dollars. The included music licences only apply to the USA, Canada and Japan. In Germany, you'll also need a GEMA licence.
