Full power, no fan: the Class D amplifiers in the new M2
The new M2 is powered by the latest generation of Class D amplifiers. Their high efficiency makes something possible that was long unthinkable for a device of this size: 4 × 125 watts RMS into 4 ohms, with no fan at all. On top of that, the highly efficient 500-watt power supply can even deliver 600 watts for short peaks when needed.

A quick tip on placement.
A large passive heat sink dissipates the heat into the surroundings. For this to work well, the M2 should stand in the open. Avoid small, closed cabinets.
