AirPlay 2 now available

In early 2026, we completed Apple's AirPlay 2 certification. This means you can play music from your iPhone, iPad or Mac directly on your trivum system – in individual rooms or in sync throughout the whole house. No extra app, no detours, just tap the AirPlay icon.

The bonus: older devices are included too.

Many trivum systems that have been running for years get AirPlay 2 via a software update – automatically and free of charge. So it's well worth installing the latest MusicCenter version.

  • SC344m
  • SC340m
  • SC311m
  • SC040m
Unfortunately, due to their processor requirements, the following devices are not compatible with AirPlay 2:
 
  • SC344
  • SC344v2
  • SC340
  • SC348
  • AudioBox
  • Aktor1
  • Aktor4
  • all Cardhost-based systems 

AirPlay or AirPlay 2? The choice is yours.

The MusicCenter software supports both versions, and you can switch between classic AirPlay and AirPlay 2 at any time. You'll find the setting in the setup under Streaming / AirPlay.
